BSEP Classes and Lifetime Library
The Basic Skills Education Program (BSEP) provides soldiers with remediation in
reading, mathematics, and test-taking skills. A soldier may improve his or
her basic skills by either enrolling in the Basic Skills Education Program (BSEP)
class and/or utilizing the computer-based Lifetime Library program.
BSEP CLASS

Soldiers qualify for the BSEP class by first taking the reading and/or math sections
of the Test of Adult

for reenlistment or some other reason may also qualify to enroll in BSEP. If a soldier
does not meet either of these criteria, his or her commander may personally recommend
the soldier for BSEP class participation.
Enrollment
Qualifying soldiers may either come by the Army Education Center or request an enrollment
online through the appropriate ACES Education Center.
Unit Classes
BSEP classes may be organized for commanders who want to offer classes in the unit
area.
