TA Rates and Restrictions

• Army TA will be authorized on a course-by-course basis only for courses that are part of a soldier’s educational goal.
• Tuition assistance may be used to defray tuition costs, instructional fees, and laboratory or shop fees up to the following limits established by law (10 USC 2007):
  

  100 percent of tuition assistance paid for qualified servicemembers, not to exceed $250 per semester hour or $4500 total per year.
